Han Xuejian, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has been put under investigation, according to the CPC disciplinary authorities.

Han, a member of the standing committee of the provincial Party branch, is under probe for alleged "severe discipline and law violations," said a statement released Monday by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
