中央扶貧開發工作會議
2015年11月27日至28日，中央扶貧開發工作會議在北京召開。這次中央扶貧開發工作會議是中共十八屆五中全會后召開的第一個中央工作會議，體現了黨中央對扶貧開發工作的高度重視。會議的主要任務是，貫徹落實中共十八屆五中全會精神，分析全面建成小康社會進入決勝階段面臨的形勢和任務，對當前和今后一個時期脫貧攻堅任務作出部署，動員全黨全國全社會力量，齊心協力打贏脫貧攻堅戰。
中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平出席會議并發表重要講話。他強調，消除貧困、改善民生、逐步實現共同富裕，是社會主義的本質要求，是中國共產黨的重要使命。全面建成小康社會，是對全國人民的莊嚴承諾。脫貧攻堅戰的沖鋒號已經吹響。要立下愚公移山志，咬定目標、苦干實干，堅決打贏脫貧攻堅戰，確保到2020年所有貧困地區和貧困人口一道邁入全面小康社會。講話中，習近平對脫貧攻堅的重要性和艱巨性、打贏脫貧攻堅戰面臨的矛盾和問題進行了深刻的分析，系統闡明了精準扶貧、精準脫貧基本方略，為打贏脫貧攻堅戰提供了根本遵循。
The Central Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Development
On November 27-28, 2015, the Central Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Development was held in Beijing. This was the first central conference following the fifth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee the previous October. It showed the Central Committee's strong commitment to poverty alleviation.
The major tasks of this conference were to implement the decision of the fifth plenary session, analyze the current conditions, map out work in the final period of achieving moderate prosperity in all respects, make present and future plans to carry out the work required, and mobilize all forces of the Party and the nation to win the battle against poverty.
Speaking to the conference, Xi Jinping pointed out that eliminating poverty, improving living standards, and achieving common prosperity is a fundamental task for socialism and an important mission of the CPC. Building a moderately prosperous society in all respects is the CPC's promise to the people. A clarion call was sounded in the battle against poverty. To win this battle, officials must have firm resolve and clear goals, and work hard with a down-to-earth spirit, to bring moderate prosperity to all poverty-stricken areas and individuals by 2020.
Xi also offered a profound analysis of the importance and urgency of poverty elimination, and the problems and difficulties in winning the battle against poverty. He elaborated on the strategy of targeted poverty alleviation and elimination, and provided guidance on winning the national battle against poverty.
