This is a prerequisite for the prevention of animal infectious diseases of all kinds. Only by enhancing the quality of care in raising and managing the poultry can the optimum rearing conditions and good disease prevention be achieved. From the perspective of bird flu prevention, both the care exercised in rearing the poultry and disease prevention must be considered together in a holistic way. In order to keep flocks of poultry free from infection it is necessary to adopt rigorous measures of good practice such as the quarantine of farm premises, disinfection of the surroundings and the control of the movements of personnel and goods.
