Souvenir silver bars depicting scenes from Beijing went on sale at Caishikou Department Store in the capital on Saturday.
Xinhua News Agency reported that the silver bars, authorized by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), are made of 99.9 percent pure silver, with the "Bird's Nest" National Stadium featured on the face and Temple of Heaven on the back.
