Also, the opposition lobby of the parliament seemed convinced when the final result was read by the speaker.
"We accept the vote of the majority," said Mostafa Kavakebian the lawmaker on the dissident side, adding that but the election of a woman as a minister is an important step in Islamic Republic ... This proved the fact that Iran's parliament is not gender-oriented" in its studying of the qualifications of the proposed cabinet.

Early on Thursday, before the parliament started the review of the qualifications of the remaining nominees and the confidence vote to be cast, the papers foresaw the favoring vote of the parliament to the majority of the proposed ministers.
IRAN, the government's daily, wrote that "the lawmakers unanimously believe that atmosphere of the parliament, in comparison with the previous days, is positive (toward the proposed nominees). They believe that most of the proposed ministers would gain the required votes of confidence."
IRAN quoted Hassan Kamran, a lawmaker, as saying that "The general air of the parliament has changed (positive)."
Seyyed Hossein Naqavi, another lawmaker, said to IRAN that "Majority of nominees will gain confidence of the Parliament. Perhaps there would be two that may fail to get the required vote."
The daily predicted that the expectations are that the close cooperation of the parliament and the government will pave the ground for the majority of the nominees to succeed in winning the parliament's confidence.
Earlier, some prominent dissident conservatives and reformists of the parliament had voiced their discontent with the President Ahmadinejad's failure in gaining the lawmakers' consent over some picks and had claimed that it was possible for the proposed cabinet to fail to receive the confidence vote for at least five nominees.
