A?football match between BYMT Soccer Club from Sichuan and Jinlang Soccer Club from Chongqing was staged in Mt. Siguniang Scenic Area, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan on July 30.

BYMT Soccer Club was founded by an artist of Sichuan Li Boqing. As the 2016 Chengdu Super League champion, it was invited to Thailand to have a friendly with the Thai Super League champion recently. Chongqing Jinlang Soccer Club is the 2016 Chongqing Super League.

Taking place in the Shuangqiao Valley of the scenic area, the match was fierce and great fun at once.

As the first competition between the two soccer clubs, the match was divided into two parts: a funny challenge and an orienteering.

The challenge, consisting of five consecutive sessions, instantly ignited excitement in Shuangqiao Valley; the orienteering, participated in by pretty soccer babies and players, brought the event to a climax.

While Chengdu and Chongqing had been suffering from high temperatures for days, it was quite cool and refreshing in Mt. Siguniang.

With a plateau climate, the mountain has a pleasant temperature all year round. The sky is crystal clear at daytime and star-spangled at nighttime. For those who would like to escape the searing summer heat, Mt. Siguniang is arguably an ideal getaway.

In recent years, Mt. Siguniang has been gaining popularity among outdoor sport enthusiasts as a widely-known outdoor sport venue in China and even in the world. Quite a few top-rate competitions have taken place here, including the UTMS Kailas Ultra Tour Mt. Siguniang and Mt. Siguniang Ice Climbing Festival.

Shuangqiao Valley contains the 5,240-high Potala Peak. The peak was named after Potala Palace for their physical resemblance. Legend has it that long long ago when the decision to build the Potala Palace was made, the Buddha sent many of its warrior attendants to look for design plans. Two of them trekked all the way to where Potala Peak lies. They drew an outline of this majestic peak and then one of them returned to Lhasa with the outline,?after which the Potala Palace was modeled, while the other remained and became today’s Jingang Mountain after death, guarding the Potala Peak on its left.

Another attraction in Shuangqiao Valley is the Dead Trees Shoal. As legend has it, two local families had a terrible fight in today’s Dead Trees Shoal ages ago. As the tangled fight went on, one family performed magic to summon floods as a weapon. The floods came so rapidly that the other family had no time to escape. Many of its members were drowned and transformed into tall trunks, which remained after the floods ebbed.
