The week-long break over the Spring Festival has ended, but many workers have yet to return to the workplace. Anxious employers are getting help from their local governments who are setting up job fairs and channels for communication between employers and employees.

Companies in Weihai, Shandong province are worried about finding workers. But they're getting part of their labor force from Inner Mongolia.

Sun Xiaoli, section chief of Electronics Company, Weihai, said, "We attended a talent fair organized by the local government. Now we have been given so many workers to help solve our problems."

Local authorities in Weihai are also cooperating with labor agents and institutions from other provinces in order to introduce workers to local companies. It held a talent fair early this year, which helped to recruit more than 20,000 workers.

In Yiwu, in eastern Zhejiang province, the local government has set up a human resource platform for job seekers and companies. They can use this platform to contact each other free of charge.

An employer of Yiwu, Zhejiang, said, "It is good to post job vacancies here. It is free and service is good. It is convenient and saves time."

Since the platform was launched last Thursday, more than 36 thousand positions have been posted.
