KATHMANDU, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's remittance inflows and foreign exchange reserves increased in the first three months of the current 2025-26 fiscal year, the central bank said on Sunday.
The remittance inflows increased 29.2 percent year-on-year to 3.94 billion U.S. dollars during mid-July to mid-October, Nepal Rastra Bank said in a report.
Likewise, the gross foreign exchange reserves increased 8.7 percent to 21.21 billion dollars in mid-October 2025 from 19.50 billion dollars in mid-July 2025.
"The foreign exchange reserves are sufficient to cover the prospective merchandise imports for 19.9 months and merchandise and services imports for 16.4 months," said the report. Enditem
