DAMASCUS -- Four members of Syria's Internal Security Forces were killed, and a fifth was wounded Sunday evening when gunmen opened fire on their patrol in the city of Maarat al-Numan in Syria's northwestern Idlib province, according to official media and a war monitor.

KHARTOUM -- At least eight people were killed and 17 others injured on Sunday in a drone attack targeting a military hospital in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, according to a medical source and eyewitnesses.

KHARTOUM -- Sudan and South Sudan on Sunday agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation, particularly in energy, oil, trade, investment and political affairs.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and a high-level South Sudanese delegation led by Tut Gatluak, presidential adviser on national security, who delivered a written message from South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit on enhancing bilateral ties. RABAT -- Heavy rainfall and flash floods have killed at least 14 people and injured 32 others in Morocco's Atlantic coastal Province of Safi, local authorities said in a statement on Sunday.
